About Double Story Type

Double Story Type is an independent type foundry creating accessible, personality-driven typefaces.

Double Story Type was founded in 2022 by B. Hrnja with the goal of creating typefaces that have personality and tell a story. We believe that the name of a typeface is extremely important because it can evoke a feeling or image that reflects the intended personality behind that font. All of our typefaces are uniquely named to convey their style at a glance, from quirky to classic to brave. Based in Cleveland, Ohio, we focus on creating accessible font solutions that match the distinctive voices of our clients. Whether you need a font for a project, business, or brand, we craft typefaces that reflect and enhance your message. Our process starts with understanding your vision, and ends with a custom font that brings your words to life.

Commercial License

Font licensing can be tricky. We believe that licensing should be simple and valuable to everyone involved, so we've done my best to make it less of a hassle. Our commercial licenses are based on Company Size (employee count, including temporary staff). No more worrying about a million separate metrics, we're making this as easy to follow as possible.
